Product Review:- Neutrogena Makeup Remover!

So today I have one of my favorite products for a quick review for you guys! As by the title of the post. You already know what it is!

Now this is the Neutrogena Makeup Remover. I got mine from Hyperstar. You can most probably get it from Chase or Naheed too. I didn't get a chance to check it there though.

Its 162 ml. And it costs about Rs. 625. I got this just to try it out and I'm already on my second bottle. You guys! I use this every single day and my sisters and my mom also used this and still , one bottle lasted about 2 & half months!

It really is BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!  I use it by putting the cotton ball on the mouth of the bottle and tip it slightly twice and that's enough for both my eyes and I wear a lot of eye makeup. So you barely use it.

It does not irritate or burn. Its very gentle and does not tug on the eye area either.

The packaging is a sleek bottle. And it has two separate liquids. Which you have shake to mix it together when you use it.

Now here's the weird part. Its an Oil-Free makeup remover but when the liquid separates, it looks like oil sitting on top and the best part is that, its not slippery when you use it or heavy and it dries down very quickly so no substance is left on your eyes either.

All in all I give this a 10/10. Give it ago and tell me what your thoughts are on this! And if you have any better product! Do let me know! And check out my instagram for more updates @afifasbeautybag.

Oats Body Scrub Cubes!! DIY

So 2016 is coming to an end and winter just begun. I can't believe we are already in November. Now living in Karachi we don't get the sweater weather but sadly we do get the dry weather. I don't know about you guys. But my skin has already starter getting dry!

And I am obsessed with exfoliating! So I thought how about we make a solid scrub cubes to remove the dry skin which makes our skin pretty dull in winter.

Things you will need:
1. Dove Soap Bar
2. Olive Oil or Coconut oil
3. Oats. (Optional)
Here you can customize it really.
You can add gound rice, liquorice powder,
Almond meal, brown sugar, green tea, powdered eggshells, whatever you prefer!

In my recipe. I added oats and just a little bit of rice powder.

Now I eyeball the recipe.

So I had one entire dove bar.
1/2 cup or 2 fists full of oats and I just grind that.
And I had a little bit of rice powder around 2TBSP.
and if you are using coconut oil, use around 1/4 cup because in the winter it does stay solidified. I didn't have coconut oil so I added 3TBSP of olive oil.

Now oats are very good for your skin.
it has inflammatory properties so it won't irritate your skin and is great for all skin types.
Its moisturizing, its a cleansing agent, it helps remove dead cells. Its very soothing. Also using this will make your skin more radiant. It has anti-oxidants and its full of benefits!

So lets Begin!

I first started off by grating the entire soap bar using a cheese grater.

Then add the oil.

Here I have the mixture of the oats and rice.

I took an ice cube tray, which I can bend easily. I added oats at the bottom, just for the look, also you can see what scrub that is.

Now I couldn't take pictures of the rest because I had to work quickly because it solidifies pretty quick because of the soap in it.
Method.:
Add the oil to the grated soap and mix it.
Put it in a microwavable bowl and microwave for about 1 minute.
Give it a good mix and depending on your microwave, put in for another 30 seconds intervals just until it melts and looks like curdled cheese. then add the oats and mix quickly. I added more oats because I wanted a gritty texture, more abrasive texture. So here you can change it up depending on your personal preference and just have fun and customize it!!

Now put it in an ice cube tray and press it down and tightly pack it, so the oats stick and so it doesn't crumble up, like in the picture below.
Refrigerate it for about 10-20 minutes  and you can take it out and put it in a jar.
I put mine in a zip-lock bag and then put it in a jar and the cube I use. I keep it over the bag so it stays separate from the rest.

Now each cube will last about 4-5 showers and make sure in the first and second shower. Don't scrub it too hard. I learned that the hard way. :-P
Also make sure that you moisturize after.
You can use this on your face also but don't use it on your face, if you add eggshell powder to it.

I love this and its not messy at all. Also you don't use up much of it, so it lasts long.

If you give this a try, do comment below and tell me what you thought about it and how you liked it. and send me pictures of your creations on Instagram @afifasbeautybag.

Rivaj UK nose strips! Yay or Nay?

So I was thinking, how about we start off the weekend with a quick review on a product that we use all the times because pesky little blackheads won't leave us alone. (Sigh)

And if you're anything like me, you also hate that annoying painful and unsanitary tool that beauty parlors use. So I prefer the easy and painless way out! Because hello!! Why not??

So today's product, is a local product that I recent fell in love with. But there's a little story on it.
My mom went to the market. I asked to bring me nose strips that I used before to test out and ended up loving it, she brought the same brand but I used the green tea one and my mom got the "so clear" one by mistake. Thought to give this a try and continue to read what happened.

Now the product I'm talking about it the Rivaj UK nose pose cleansing strips.  This pore strip is the "Classic" one.
You get 6 pore strips in a packet and is around Rs.200-250. Not bad at all! Its pretty reasonable to me!

So the product claims to
1. Remove dirt and oil.
2. Helps remove blackheads.
3. And tighten pores.

Don't know how its supposed to tighten pores and I though that dirt and oil is what causes blackhead.
Anyways this company makes 3 different types of nose strips.
1. Classic
2. Green Tea
3. Charcoal

I have tried to 2 out of 3 and I absolutely love the green tea one and I think its a hidden gem of the market! So worth trying!!

Now how to use this.
You wet your nose with water and apply and it sticks. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and remove with satisfaction! You can see the size in the picture above.

Now for the grossiest satisfaction! Heads up guys!!

Here is all that was removed. TMI??

Now this may look a lot. Its not! Trust me. The green tea one gets out so much more!!

So here is the final result!
The left pic is before and right is after! So its a nay from me. but the green tea one is a 10/10 from me!! So give that a try! Its definitely a hidden gem.

What are your thoughts on this? Have you given it a try??

Inglot Duraline! Product Review and how-to!

The weekend went by so fast but oh my gosh!! The weather was so gorgeous and if you follow me on instagram , you know I spent the day out on the beach because why not?!

So anyways let's get back to the actual reason of the post!
I've been trying this product out and was waiting to give you guys the review on this!

Its the Inglot Duraline and I can not tell you how happy I am that Inglot has opened up here in Pakistan!!

So this product retails for Rs. 950. But I got it on independence day sale for Rs.638. Even without the sale, this product is amazing for the price!

Now this comes in a glass bottle with a dropper. Its a clear liquid and keep in mind guy, the dropper is also glass so be extremely careful! Because if know me, you would know. One tiny tap and boom! It breaks. But I am pretty gentle with this! LOL

The liquid has a slightly thick oilly consistency. But its actually a runny product. I know right ? MAGIC!:-P

But let's get back to what duraline really is? Now ever since I saw this, I was so intrigued to gibe this a try. So I finally bought it and its a great purchase. Now Duraline is a multipurpose liquid, which can be used to intensify, pretty much anything!

The company claims that it
1. Creates a liquid waterproof product.
2. Improves application
3. Prolongs life of the makeup
4. Enhances the color

I got to say, it did what it says.

Not only that but as shown in the above pictures, it is also a glitter glue and let me tell you! Once its on! Its not gonna come off!! I gave that a good try!

On the left are the products with the duraline and on the right are without the duraline.
The product in the above picture is a gel liner and we all know its dries out and gets patchy very quick. I mixed less then half a drop and it not only revived eyeliner but also intensified it and it applied so smoothly.

And you only need a very tiny drop and it goes a long way.

Again all products on the left are with Duraline and right without Duraline.

This was a pan eye shadow from Sephora Color Artist box. Those eye shadows are already so pigmented but the duraline intensified it to much more then my expectations.

This was some random loose shimmer in my makeup collection and one of my favorites. Because its an iridescent pigment with a duo chrome of a gorgeous blue and green. And its already a intense product. I use very little product and when I used the duraline, it got so much more intense!!

So after that, I actually thought that well it makes the products waterproof and my lipstick never stays on!! So I gave this a try with my lipstick and it don't want to come off!! And it glided on easier and the color was very intense too.

But with bold colors, you have to be careful because if you make a mistake. It'll be really hard to clean up.

This a cream eyeshadow and its one of the most reached for product and it stays in my first drawer because I use this almost everyday and after seeing it with the duraline. I realized I missed out on the intensity of the product because its so pretty with the duraline. My first reaction was "Woao"😂.

Last but not least is a cream highlighter and we have to have an intense highlight! So I added very very litte amount of the duraline and it intensified the highlighter a lot but I definitely need to see how well it will blend out when I have my foundation underneath when I use it on my face!

So keep a look out my instagram @afifasbeautybag because I will tell you how it worked out on there.

All in all its a 10/10 product and definitely a a staple and it'll last a pretty long time because you barely use any!

What are your thoughts on this? Do let me know in the comments below!😘

Product Empties!!

So I was cleaning my yesterday and I went through a lot of my stuff. And I saw my box of empty bottles and remembered that I forgot to do a blog post on my empty products!
Just so you guys have a little bit of inside on my beloved products!

So here it is!

There are a several products I wanted to go through. Some which, if u guys my other blog posts, you know are my favorites!

Let's start with Bioderma! Sensations Dolmen City Mall and Hyperstar both carry the Bioderma line. So when I first saw it! I was sooo glad ! I've wanted to try micellar water and specially this brand because my older sister in England raved about this product!
And yes I went through a 500 ml bottle and I loved every bit of it and used all to the last drop. It's a great exfoliant, removes all dirt and all products from your face. I use it to prep my skin for makeup. For removing makeup and lashes! Oh my gosh! It gets off lashes like a dream!! I also use this on y clients before facials to get the skin nice and clean.

I know Jaclyn Hill, Lisa Eldridge and many other makeup artist love this product so do give it a try!
My mom has very sensitive skin and this worked like a charm for her too!

Now when I got it, 500ml bottle was Rs. 1500. Which was actually a great price considering that this lasted me a really long time and I used it every single night!
But sadly after it finished. When I went get another one they didn't have the 500ml. bottle anywhere and the 250ml was for rs.1000.
But you know what give this a try. You'll love it. I just needed a bigger bottle because I use it alot. Also there s a garnier dupe for it for half the price maybe! If you want me to compare and review that! Comment down below!

My second favorite is the ELF Primer. The hydrating one! Its a blue bottle. Sinks into your skin. Works like a charm. What else can I say? It works great on all types of skin. Now I have the mineral one, in the white bottle and the tone adjusting one in green bottle! But this is my favorite out of all of them, I've used up 2 bottles of these!

Its for rs.1,195 on the ELF website but some people online are selling them for like rs650-700. So its huge difference. Keep in mind that the website does have to ship the products from the U.S. then ship it to our homes so that's why its more costly here.

Okay so let's get this straight! All of there are my favorite products or they wouldn't have been emptied by now 😂.

This is the Elizabeth Arden eyes and lips makeup remover. I got this as a gift. It was 50ml travel size bottle. I still have a tony bit left but omg! I love this. This is so easy to remove even water proof mascara within seconds!

No rubbing no nothing! It's so gentle and I love this for my lips. That's what I mainly use it for since most products aren't lip removers so they taste absolutely disgusting like for example the Bioderma! So if you can, get your hands on this! Definitely the best makeup remover I've used. So if anyone knows where I can get it from! Do tell.

Okay so the ELF Setting spray is something I've raved about over and over again! I'm down to my 4th bottle and that's half now too! I've gotten everyone hooked on this product! Sisters, bhabi, khala, my mom!

It makes your makeup last so long. Its so calming and once you put this on! It just brings the whole look together and once it dries. It makes all the products blend in with one another so your face doesn't look cakey at all!

This is by far my favorite!

And on the ELF website, you can get this for
Rs. 695! So give this a go! I highly recommend it.

Last but not least, is the VS Dream Angels Heavenly body spray. I just thought I'd throw it in the blog post because the scent is really nice and I probably went through like 2 bottles of this. So that's it for today's post!

Have you guys given any of these a try! If you have. Tell me what your thoughts are on these products!
And make sure to check out my instagram for more updates! @afifasbeautybag

DIY - GRAPE FACE MASK???!!

So Sunday morning I woke up and there was a huge box of grapes straight from Quetta! Fresh juicy and just yummy!

So I thought how many grapes can we eat? Instead of letting them spoil, why not make a face mask?
Now grapes  are loaded with anti-oxidants, its a great detoxifier. It has AHA which battles against premature wrinkling. Grapes has properties which reduce fine lines, it lighten dark spots, it gets rid of pimples making skin flawless and radiant.
It also tighten and firms the skin!
 You can use
red or green! If you can get red, that's even better because that's more effective.

So let's start the week with a DIY!

Now when I used this face mask I was shocked to see the result!

Now on to the face mask!
You'll need grapes,
And gram flour! That's it
Now I eyeballed it. So just make it thick enough that it doesn't slip off your face.

First mash up or blend the grapes up. The skin didn't blend. If you can use the skin then that's great because the skin is more powerful!

I added the gram flour and mixed that until it was slightly thick.

When I applied it the skin wasnt staying on so actually squeezed it out and a few bits were left so that was okay.

Now you leave the face mask on for 15-20 minutes.

Then wash it off, slightly exfoliating. And moisturize.
My skin instantly felt smooth, glowing , my pimples went down, it felt tighter and firmer!
All in all it was a win for me!
Give this a try and let me what you guys think? What results did you get?
And keep a look out for more posts and follow my instagram for more at

ESSENCE All About Bronze Palette! REVIEW!!

Hey ladies! I'm so excited about todays post! Its a hidden gem product! And I'm so glad I stumbled upon it!
Today's review is about Essence All about Bronze palette.
This palette contains 8 eye shadows.
All bronzed tone obviously!

Believe it or not, it costs only Rs.750!!
I bought mine from Naheed. You can also get it ftom Sensation Dolmen Mall at Tariq or Clifton and Sanaullah in Karachi.
The packaging is a transparent plastic case. Which is sturdy!

This collection comes in 5 different palettes, where there is 8 eye shadow pans. And there is also palettes with 6 eyeshadow pans. But I have not seen the 6 eye shadow pans when I went. But they might have those now.
The 8 pan eyeshdows palettes come in 5 shades.
All about NUDE.
All about BRONZE.
All about GREYS.
All about ROSES.
All about Vintage.

The Nude palette has matte shades. Where as the other palettes are all shimmers.

I didn't go to the store to get this specific product but when I swatched it. I was so shocked by the quality of this product.

Here are the shadows. Again the picture does not do justice to the actual result of the eye shadows. I have no idea where to begin to describe these eye shadows. Its buttery. Its pigmented. Its shimmery. These Swatches are just ONE Swipe!
These are super easy to blend.

Since I have bought this palette. I've been constantly reaching for it. I use the second eye shadow as my go to. Just a base under neath and a swipe of this. Add liner & mascara and I'm good to go!

It really is a hidden gem. My little sister has just began using makeup and she loves this palette. The colors are amazing. There is a great range. This is such a versitaile palette.
Now this palette consists of light, dark, cool tone, pink tones and warm tones.

I think this is definitely a staple in my collection.
I think everyone should give this a try. Trust me,  don't knock it till you try it. And for this price. Its a steal!!

So that's all I have to say. You guys have to try it your self to see why I love it!  If you have given this a try. Tell me your thoughts on it. I'd love to know what you guys think.

Keep a look out! More reviews and post will be coming up Insha Allah.
Bye ladies!
