Product Review:- Neutrogena Makeup Remover!

So today I have one of my favorite products for a quick review for you guys! As by the title of the post. You already know what it is!

Now this is the Neutrogena Makeup Remover. I got mine from Hyperstar. You can most probably get it from Chase or Naheed too. I didn't get a chance to check it there though.

Its 162 ml. And it costs about Rs. 625. I got this just to try it out and I'm already on my second bottle. You guys! I use this every single day and my sisters and my mom also used this and still , one bottle lasted about 2 & half months!

It really is BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!  I use it by putting the cotton ball on the mouth of the bottle and tip it slightly twice and that's enough for both my eyes and I wear a lot of eye makeup. So you barely use it.

It does not irritate or burn. Its very gentle and does not tug on the eye area either.

The packaging is a sleek bottle. And it has two separate liquids. Which you have shake to mix it together when you use it.

Now here's the weird part. Its an Oil-Free makeup remover but when the liquid separates, it looks like oil sitting on top and the best part is that, its not slippery when you use it or heavy and it dries down very quickly so no substance is left on your eyes either.

All in all I give this a 10/10. Give it ago and tell me what your thoughts are on this! And if you have any better product! Do let me know! And check out my instagram for more updates @afifasbeautybag.

Oats Body Scrub Cubes!! DIY

So 2016 is coming to an end and winter just begun. I can't believe we are already in November. Now living in Karachi we don't get the sweater weather but sadly we do get the dry weather. I don't know about you guys. But my skin has already starter getting dry!

And I am obsessed with exfoliating! So I thought how about we make a solid scrub cubes to remove the dry skin which makes our skin pretty dull in winter.

Things you will need:
1. Dove Soap Bar
2. Olive Oil or Coconut oil
3. Oats. (Optional)
Here you can customize it really.
You can add gound rice, liquorice powder,
Almond meal, brown sugar, green tea, powdered eggshells, whatever you prefer!

In my recipe. I added oats and just a little bit of rice powder.

Now I eyeball the recipe.

So I had one entire dove bar.
1/2 cup or 2 fists full of oats and I just grind that.
And I had a little bit of rice powder around 2TBSP.
and if you are using coconut oil, use around 1/4 cup because in the winter it does stay solidified. I didn't have coconut oil so I added 3TBSP of olive oil.

Now oats are very good for your skin.
it has inflammatory properties so it won't irritate your skin and is great for all skin types.
Its moisturizing, its a cleansing agent, it helps remove dead cells. Its very soothing. Also using this will make your skin more radiant. It has anti-oxidants and its full of benefits!

So lets Begin!

I first started off by grating the entire soap bar using a cheese grater.

Then add the oil.

Here I have the mixture of the oats and rice.

I took an ice cube tray, which I can bend easily. I added oats at the bottom, just for the look, also you can see what scrub that is.

Now I couldn't take pictures of the rest because I had to work quickly because it solidifies pretty quick because of the soap in it.
Method.:
Add the oil to the grated soap and mix it.
Put it in a microwavable bowl and microwave for about 1 minute.
Give it a good mix and depending on your microwave, put in for another 30 seconds intervals just until it melts and looks like curdled cheese. then add the oats and mix quickly. I added more oats because I wanted a gritty texture, more abrasive texture. So here you can change it up depending on your personal preference and just have fun and customize it!!

Now put it in an ice cube tray and press it down and tightly pack it, so the oats stick and so it doesn't crumble up, like in the picture below.
Refrigerate it for about 10-20 minutes  and you can take it out and put it in a jar.
I put mine in a zip-lock bag and then put it in a jar and the cube I use. I keep it over the bag so it stays separate from the rest.

Now each cube will last about 4-5 showers and make sure in the first and second shower. Don't scrub it too hard. I learned that the hard way. :-P
Also make sure that you moisturize after.
You can use this on your face also but don't use it on your face, if you add eggshell powder to it.

I love this and its not messy at all. Also you don't use up much of it, so it lasts long.

If you give this a try, do comment below and tell me what you thought about it and how you liked it. and send me pictures of your creations on Instagram @afifasbeautybag.
