So as I was going through my makeup bag, something caught my eye The Makeup Setting Spray! So lets get straight to it, because I have a lot to say!!
Now a days makeup setting sprays are hitting the beauty industry! What do you guys about it? Is it a necessity or luxury? Is it a Gimmick or is it not? All of these thoughts were going through my mind since I saw these all over the internet?
The makeup industry is piling up with setting sprays these days. When we think about buying these, we think should we splurge or save? Will splurging be worth it? or saving be worth it?
From high-end brands to drugstore brands all have these setting sprays.
Brands like Skindinavia
Well I'm here to tell you about my thought on these! I've given a couple of these a try. The ones that I've tried are Dermacolor (1200rs=$12) & ELF(600rs=$6). Well to be honest! They both do the same thing. Dermacolor is abit heavier so I would prefer these for brides where as the Elf one is lighter so I would prefer these for regular use. But the thing is, that these sprays transform your makeup look, not only does it lock it in but also instantly freshens up your makeup look! And makes your makeup last all day! Its definitely not a gimmick!
If your a makeup artist like me I would suggest keeping both in hand, but if your just someone who wants it for your own self I would prefer The ELF one. Let me just tell you, don't be fooled by the price! $6 is a save and a steal!
In the humid weather like Karachi's, LA, or Florida and many other places like these when you want your makeup to not budge or move, you definitely need a setting spray or even if you live anywhere else! I wore the ELF setting spray in a lunch get together from around 1 o'clock in the afternoon and the sun was beating down! With a hijab and Naqab, it didn't budge at all! Even when I got home, I didn't take off my makeup off until 9 o'clock and it was the same as I put it on! and When I did my sisters makeup at 6 o'clock AM, She took it off at 1 o'clock AM ! It hadn't come off. Only the blush had worn off, obviously that was going to happen after 19 hours!! But her foundation and the eye makeup had not worn off! trust me I'm not joking!
So the point is, you don't need an expensive product, cheaper versions are just as good. Some beauty bloggers even say the ELF Mist & Set is a dupe for UD All nighter! So I definitely say, its a must for your makeup bag! But the best part is that you don't need to spend a lot of money. They all do the same thing! So now you can have a same look without emptying your pockets!
So that's all I have to say but do tell me in the comment section what are your thoughts on these?? and which do you prefer guys??
